Patrol boats powered by Volvo Penta

"Bulgarian Border Police" received 6 brand new patrol boats for observing and controlling the shores of Danube River on the Bulgarian coast. They are powered by two Volvo Penta D11A-C EVC-C last generation diesel engines, 670h.p. each.
The names of the new boats are „Vidin”, „Lom”, „Nikopol”, „Svishtov”, „Ruse” and „Silistra”. With their 12 tons, length of 14m. and width of 4m. they are fast, manoeuvre and economical. The patrol boats are built in the Estonian shipyard “Baltic Workboats”. They are supplied with up-to-date navigational, communicational and special technical equipment. Besides these 6 river patrol boats, Border Police in Varna and Sozopol, both on Black Sea coast, also received one patrol boat each, same as these six.
The warranty and after warranty service of the patrol boats will be performed by the authorized service of SENY Ltd, Volvo Penta center for Bulgaria.

This winter Volvo Penta will introduce a powerful bi-fuel 16-litre Tier 4 Interim engine targeted for applications in the oil and gas exploration markets and in other prime power and mobile applications.
Fuelled by a precision blend of natural gas and diesel fuel, the new TWG1663GE provides fuel cost savings, high power density, and advanced SCR to meet stringent, Tier 4 Interim EPA and CARB emissions regulations.
