Cw-R   Reflex Glass

Reflex glass has grooves with an apex angle of 90° on the media surface. They are made by pressing, which makes the surface extra resistant to boiler water. Application as liquid gauges of simple construction.

The set consists of glass, gasket and a pad as the last two are considered accordingly specific working conditions. There are possibilities to order separate elements only.

Itt may be applied, at maximum, to steam with pressure of 35 bar, which corresponds to 243°C. Above this temperature, in the presence of boiler water, the rate of pace of glass degradation grows rapidly. Depending on the construction of water gauge, reflex glass is applied to other media than boiler water, even up to a temperature of 400°C. Sizes accordingly DIN 7080, DIN 7081, BS 3463, ÖN M7353, ÖN M7354, JIS B8211, etc.

Cw-T   Transparent Glass

Transparent glass is applied to water gauge of more complex construction, as it requires backlight; however it allows for the use of mica straps, which significantly extend the scope of possible applications. The glass is ground on both sides, and then polished in order to assure full transparency.

The set consists of glass, gasket and a pad as the last two are considered accordingly specific working conditions. There are possibilities to order separate elements only. Main applications of transparent glass include dirty, sticky or caustic liquids, as well as high temperature and high-pressure media. For steam over 35 bar and high-pH media, the transparent glass is used with mica strap from media side, which delays the glass washing processes. Sizes accordingly DIN 7080, DIN 7081, BS 3463, Ö-NormM7353, Ö-NormM7354, JISB8211, etc.

Cw-TA28   High Pressure Transparent Glass

Cw-TA28 sets of transparent glasses are particularly worth considering, as they suit the highest parameters. The set consists of full composition of high temperature gaskets and mica straps. The glass is ground on both sides, and then polished in order to assure full transparency.

The set type Cw-TA28, Size I, is the only one that may be recommended to apply to steam with pressure over 120 bar. The set is always applied together with a special quality “A” mica strap acc. to the standard IS1175. Sizes acc. DIN7081.
